Here
are my thoughts: "As a gastric-bypass patient I've lost 104
lbs in 6 months. Muscle loss is a by product of such rapid
weight loss. My doctors strongly recommended resistance training
after the third month. By chance I happen to cross paths with
Liz and decided to participate in Pilates classes. The intensity
of my very first class made me decide to receive individual
training three times a week. The changes are astronomical
and fascinating. The flaccidity of my skin is incredible.
With the weight loss my skin just hung, since classes my skin
has recuperated and is toned and fresh looking. My skin breaths
and radiates health. For fun I take belly dancing classes.
Pilates has changed my skill level, I am more centered, the
ability to control and accomplish my movements are enhanced.
My attitude is improved, it takes more to disturb my existence.
I can only say that Pilates will be part of my daily regime."
Liz, change what you think. I don't know if flaccidity is
what I want to say, I mean how taunt my skin.

I
began to look into the Pilates training method about seven
years ago. I was very interested in it because it placed focus
primarily on the core (the back and abdominal muscles) of
the body, a place where I definitely needed to tone and strengthen
as a result of years of unconscious slouching to disguise
my height. About two years ago I tried it out in a group class
and enjoyed it, but never returned because I didnt feel
I was doing it correctly and didnt have the time in
my schedule to dedicate to learning the proper form, basically
take private classes. I tried using a video but it didnt
feel the same as having the guidance of a professional aiding
me along the way so again I quit. Finally about two months
ago I started with Liz and am finally doing the exercise method
that was meant for me. I cannot stress how important I believe
it is to have personal sessions with an instructor before
ever trying to do Pilates on your own. I now realize I had
no clue what I was doing before and was probably hurting myself
in the process. From the first day I began with Liz I felt
my muscles in a completely different way then ever before.
In just a few sessions I became more aware of the muscles
in my mid-section (front and back), and even though I cannot
say I never slouch any more, I catch myself all the time and
feel how my posture is incorrect and then of course I stand
up straight! I also see a difference in the rest of my body
and truly feel it working as a whole in every session. When
I come out of a Pilates class my muscles have been exercised
and exhausted, but at the same time I feel refreshed and ready
for the rest of my day. It sounds cheesy but true. This workout
puts you in a good mood! I have now noticed that I am constantly
incorporating aspects of Pilates into my other exercise routines
and have seen a definite improvement in my body as a result.
I normally have two Pilates sessions a week, and when I have
to reschedule and a long time passes between sessions I definitely
miss it. I feel guilty when I cant get at least my two
good sessions a week because my body craves it. It has become
an integral and necessary part of my exercise routine and
I hope that in time I can increase how often I use Pilates
to workout.

I
have been an avid gym goer for the last four years and I've
tried everything. I'm talking spinning, step, tae bo, body
sculpting, I even had an intense personal trainer but nothing
has made me feel as exhilarated as pilates. it is an intense
workout that incorporates your entire body while focusing
on breathing and body movement. not only does it do all that,
but it also leaves you feeling invigorated and really focused.
I am ecstatic that I found liz because she has given me an
excitement about my body and working out that i never had
before....thanks liz...oh, and thank god for pilates!

As
a former cancer patient , I was greatly helped by Liz Caravia
in her Pilates Class. With Liz help and good instrution I
was able step by step to build my flexibilite and strength
back free from injuries. Another benefit from Pilates was
the releasing of tension buil-up. After Lizs Pilates
class I had more energy.
